Works on Trijico Front Sight for Walther(13.02.2015)
This tool will also works on the mounting screw for the front Trijicon Night Sight Set for Walther P99 & PPQ. The reason this tool works so well is because it has thin wall to get into the counter-sink hole. It's also very shallow so the screw head bottoms out. This allow you to push on the screw head and start the thread. The price is very reasonable for a tool you may only use once of twice.
Excellent tool.(07.07.2015)
Just used this tool for the first time. Worked like a charm. Perfect fit, sturdy. Only thing I might suggest would be to make it a bit longer to make it easier to hang on to.
Great Tool For the money(19.11.2015)
Very good tool for the job. does exactly what is sates it does and well.
great tool worked perfect! (16.01.2016)
Definitely Works!(16.10.2016)
This deminutive tool works as advertised. However it is not overly user friendly. While the knurled area offers a good grip, I have arthritis in my hands so I expect to be dropping this a lot and without a magnet I won't be able to chase the screw with it. A matching 3/16" punch would make a nice range set. If only this came with a plastic handle that could be slipped over the knurled end when needed.
brownells brand glock front sight tool(02.12.2016)
This tool is a great price, but mediocre in its performance. The shaft diameter does not allow greater torque on the screw head. I ended up using a glock branded front sight tool with the x shaped handle and it proved to be much better. Ok to use in a pinch, but would recommend the glock factory tool for a better more solid install.
Not a good choice(09.03.2017)
Too short! Can't get a grip to remove or install front sights. Good material, just needs to be much longer
Needs to be longer and thinner.(07.09.2017)
This sight tool is too short and barely clears the height of the recoil spring cut out at the front of the slide. The knurling can also scratch the finish because the tool is thicker than it needs to be along the shaft and contacts the metal.
I had to use a socket adapter to generate enough torque to loosen the front sight screw.
Good tool for the price(18.04.2018)
The overall tool is very short and doesn't allow you to get a lot of torque on the part (due to the limited gripping surface). However, since it is only a front sight tool and you're only looking to torque it enough to get the front sight on and off, it's a good tool for the price.
One big downside would be if you're trying to use this tool to get an front sight off that was secured in place with an adhesive, then you will need something to get a better grip. You can still use this tool but you might need a set of channel locks or a vice grip to get that extra torque.
