Super New Acraglas, Nylon Epoxy Derivative, Butter-Smooth Consistency, Mixes With Atomized Metals
Over the years Brownells has had hundreds of customer requests for an epoxy accurizing compound with a butter-smooth consistency which would neither run, drip or leach out from between wood and metal after being placed in the gun stock. After many years of research and testing, we perfected a modified version of our popular Acraglas® that gives the same super accurizing bedding job and also meets those specialized smooth application features you have asked for. Acraglas Gel was designed to take advantage of the latest technological advancements in epoxy research. It has the best possible advantages built into it for those that want a butter-smooth type of Acraglas. Nylon Derivatives are formulated into Acraglas Gel and provide greater "thin strength," shock resistance and stability over normal temperature extremes. Slightly less shrinkage than that of Acraglas, which has an amazing 1/10th of 1%. 1-to-1 mixing ratio gives a stable structure to Acraglas Gel that will not crack, craze or sugar-out as will other 1-to-1 epoxies. Plus this 1-to-1 mix ratio simplifies mixing and measuring small amounts accurately. Slightly longer pot life to give the user more time when doing the actual bedding. Longer cure time - Epoxy remains slightly flexible, longer, making it easy to trim away excess compound Readily blends with atomized aluminum, steel and stainless steel particles, to make a stronger, reinforced epoxy. Can be dyed the same as Acraglas to match the characteristics of the gun stock being worked on. The above features of Acraglas Gel give you an idea of how completely we fulfilled your requests for a companion product for Acraglas ... The Acraglas Gel stay-in-one-spot feature ... sophisticated molecular structure ... slightly longer pot life and curing time ... the ability to mix in aluminum or steel, make this a product we are proud to offer to you. Because of the characteristics of Acraglas Gel, the advantages of glass floc are already incorporated in the finished epoxy so the addition of floc is not recommended or needed. Includes - 2 fl. oz. (59 ml) Resin, 2 fl. oz. (59 ml) Hardener, 7/8 fl. oz. (26 ml) Release Agent, Measuring Spoon, re-useable Poly Mixing Dish, Mixing Stick, Brown Dye, Black Dye and Complete Instructions.

(59 ml) Harz, 2 fl. oz. (59 ml) Härter, 7/8 fl. oz. (26 ml) Trennmittel, Messlöffel, wiederverwendbare Poly-Mischschale, Rührstab, braune Farbe, schwarze Farbe und vollständige Anweisungen.

COMBINED WITH MY CUSTOM MADE, SS SEAMLESS HI-PRESSURE TUBING PILLARS, THE RESULTS ARE FANTASTIC !!!!!!! ALSO USE THE PRODUCT TO REPAIR BROKEN / LOOSE JOINT ON FURNITURE, REPAIRING BROKEN KNIFE HANDLES, LOOSE COOKING POT HANDLES, ETC. HAVE FOUND VERY FEW SITUATIONS THIS STUFF COULD NOT REPAIR !!! HAVING BEDDED ABOUT 50 BOLT-ACTION RIFLES SINCE 1980, THIS IS THE VERY BEST, EASIEST TO WORK WITH, VIRTUALLY IDIOT-PROOF, & THE RESULTS ARE VERY PREDICTABLE & SATISFYING !!!!!!!---------OOORAH.
Love this stuff(08.11.2014)
I bought one of these kits about 12 years ago to bed a old 8mm Mauser, the action that had gotten so loose in the stock it literally shifted about a 1/4" back while pulling the trigger
Bedded that gun then put the kit away till a few months ago when I needed to bed a second rifle, much to my suprise the contents was still in good condition and worked perfectly
I have since bedded 3 actions with the 4oz kit and have enough left for probably 1 more rifle
Bear in mind I only bed the recoil lug and receiver area and not the barrel, I free float those
The original Mauser that had been so loose has fired over a thousand rounds since then and is still tight and secure in its bedded action, the Rem 788 is still tight at the recoil lug I bedded with it after many rounds and the Rem700 I just finished pillar bedding and bedding the action on came out as nice as the first Mauser years ago
Unfortunately my kit is all but gone now so back to buy more
I did have to order a new bottle of release agent about a year ago when I did the 2nd rifle but they sell that here as well and I bought the large bottle of it
Since Im doing a lot more gun work now Im back to buy the 16oz refill, the mixing cup and measuring spoon in the original kit I still have since I clean them thouroghly after each use, as such all I need is the gel and hardenier
For anyone just starting in bedding work this is the easiest Ive found to work with personally
A 4 ounce kit will bed from 2 to 4 guns depending on how much waste you have and it can be stored for long periods between uses if sealed tightly
I only wish I could buy the die packs individualy without the kit but I haven't seen those yet
If your wonddering about it pick up a kit and give it a try, this Gel type is easy to use, durable and makes a definete improvement in your group size
Well worth the time and $$

I have used this stuff for at least 20 years. have bedded stocks repaired other gun related things and even attached knife handles. Once hard can be cut drilled and manipulated with hand and power tools... just great stuff
This stuff is The Standard(04.08.2012)
Acraglas is as good as it gets. I use it for lots of repairs and projects. Save your tail with Acraglas.
The only downside is that it takes days to get it off your fingers unless you wipe them off with acetone.
So much better(21.09.2016)
So much better to use then any regular bedding compounds, Gel is thick enough to apply any place.
Real good product(28.09.2013)
I put a front sight on my stoeger 3500 semi and I used this gel to set it on a factory bead it worked very well GREAT GEL for this job
Use it on furniture repairs too(09.12.2015)
The consistency and quality are perfect for barrel bedding. Don't forget the release agent - you won't pull the barrel off ever again if you forget. I also use the gel to repair broken joints on furniture - its amazing how well it fills, and holds wood together.
