you get what you pay for(08.04.2010)
i bought and installed these on my AR, and they do not feel like a reduced power spring, they felt heavier than stock. at 3 times the price, i would recommend the jp enterprises reduced power spring kit over this one. you get what you pay for.
sweet parts for the price(03.09.2010)
I have used the JP stuff side by side with this TTI spring kit on a stock Oly-Arms trigger. with out the proper qualified gunsmith trigger prep I got 4.2 pounds and with the triggers both tuned I got 2.7 and 3.1 I find these springs to be about equal to JP the only thing they do not have is the fancy paint job but I have my own paint color code. Concerning how tough the trigger springs are that has yet to be determined I put at least 2 to 3k down range before I will put them on my customers guns. As I Guess it just comes down to who installs and tunes your triggers. Enough Said!
Not So Sure its REDUCED(09.03.2011)
Installed 3 of these (with all haveing the Problem of the Hammer spring seating on the Hammer. (not Wide enough to seat Flat) seems like these springs have More Tension on the Hammer then the DPMS (LRPK-1)Kits. Find it to Not Be Smoother than the DPMS kit. the DPMS trigger tension showed @ 7 lbs and this Spring Kit Showed the Same @7 lbs.
Not so good(10.08.2012)
I was disappointed with this.
Great Quality and Value(30.08.2012)
I have used these springs in all my target rifle builds with ZERO problems but don't expect a match quality trigger job by just adding these springs. I will contiue to use and recommend these springs. I did use the "other" springs once but I replaced them with the TTI springs after one use. Great product.
Love these things(10.11.2012)
Simple and not expensive way to get a good trigger. Buy these all day long you wont be disappointed
Trigger pull not reduced(10.01.2014)
I have used the JP RP springs in several rifles and had very good results with them. I bought a set of these TTi springs to compare to the JP since they were a few dollars cheaper. The results of these TTi springs was disappointing. The trigger weight did not change from the stock weight enough to tell the difference. I believe that the differences between the JP and these rests in the hammer spring. Comparing the two, the JP has one less coil per side than the TTi. That is the factor that makes the trigger pull difference between the models. The JP has less spring tension. The TTi springs are of very high quality in every other aspect. Just don't expect them to improve your trigger weight. I give them 2 stars for not performing as advertised.
Gotta know your mechanics(28.12.2015)
Not everything is plug and play every time. If anyone has the slightest clue what they are doing when it comes to a factory trigger in combination with these springs nobody would ever complain. These springs plus about 15-20 minutes worth of polishing on the proper component surfaces is worth what a lot of $150 triggers offer. WELL WORTH THE FEW $$!!. Why do you think they are sold out?
No Noticeable Weight Reduction(26.08.2016)
Like many other reviewers have mentioned, I did not experience any noticeable weight reduction when I installed this spring kit. The springs appear to be a very high quality and I am sure they will function without any problem, but I still have a 7-8 lb. trigger pull.
My milspec springs are better(22.01.2018)
I saw these springs while ordering a few other items for an AR build. Figured for the price they were worth a try. I was wrong. I tried these springs on multiple fire control groups and the average change in trigger pull was plus 1lb 5oz. The best result was plus 1lb 3oz. These are quality milspec FCGs which came to me polished by the manufacturer. One is the EPT FCG from PSA, one is a polished nickel coated FCG, and one is a bobbed "speed hammer" set from a parts kit I had on my shelf from during the pre-election parts kit collecting I did - no idea on the source of that one. Only the PSA trigger has seen any range time in a rifle, having been run for about 300rds in a lower prior to this test. The other two FCGs have been assembled in a spare lower and tested with standard milspec trigger springs, but have not been subjected to live fire. All three of these FCGs will provide a trigger pull which is both smoother and crisper than the standard milspec stuff I have on hand, and all of these trigger sets run consistently around 6lb 2oz on my trigger pull scale, with a high degree of consistency. I used a stripped lower I had on the shelf and assembled each trigger with these springs, and ran the trigger for 10 pulls to get an average for each FCG. Unfortunately, for each of the three FCGs, pull weight was increased by 1.25-1.5lbs. That's a dismal failure versus the description of this item and certainly the antithesis of what a "Reduced Power Action Kit" should provide in function.
I'm returning these and will likely try the JP Enterprises spring kit(s) in the future. For now, the milspec springs and PSA trigger will reside in my home defense/CQB-style AR, and I'll keep my longer range coyote rig fitted with the LaRue MBT (which is consistently breaking at 3lbs 15oz). Just don't waste your time and money on these. Brownells ought not even stock and sell this junk.
