Must Have Ruger Tool.(30.09.2011)
This item is not like the low quality tools alot of stores sell. Just by gripping it you know it is not going to snap into and cut your hand or ruin your weapon. Very well crafted. Even comes with directions if you should need them.
Worthless!(19.09.2014)
I just purchased this product to remove the ejector from my Ruger Super Redhawk 44 Mag and it does not fit my weapon. The product brochure days it is for the SP 100 and SP 101 with no mention of the Rehawk, or Super Redhawk.

works fine on new SP101(12.11.2015)
Was leery of this because of the other review and because I could not see a hole for the center pin rod (it protrudes through and above the ejector retainer). Brownell's tech support answered by questions expeditiously. It does have a hole. You must guide the rod into this nut, gently. The retainer is left-handed thread, and fairly tight on my new SP101. By the bye, the SP101 has evolved in the past few years (mine has the screw-in firing pin bushing) but the schematic for mine is correct as to the cylinder assembly, not that it is too complicated. Now, if Brownell's would provide a snake-eyes nut to just fit the firing pin bushing (it is sort of #10, but the prong holes are round and small), life with the SP101 would be almost easy__especially if I ignore the trigger group.
An essential Ruger DA tool(24.03.2017)
Test fits great, well made, ready to use. The one tool you have to have to totally disassemble a SP101 or GP100. The Redhawk, I think (?) uses the same design. I can think of no way to substitute another tool. Necessary for accessing the ejector, ejector spring, and center pins.
Someone mentioned the firing pin plug needing something similar. A good set of spring clip pliers with long tips should do that fairly well.
If you shoot GP, get this(31.07.2018)
I had to clean some flashing off mine. Other than that it is right on the money good.
