Flashlight Mount(23.09.2009)
This is a pretty good and economical mount compared to some other flashlight mounting options.
Spend your money on a better mount(30.10.2009)
I bought this thinking it would be an economical way to mount a light but it would not fit my Troy Rail or Midwest Industries Rail. It does fit (tightly) on a standard Weaver mount and may fit on CAA's own rails. I tried to make use of this mount by slightly filing the rail slots but it never worked to my satisfaction.
Spend your money on a quality mount if you are going to mount a light to a quality rail.
You get what you pay for.(02.02.2010)
I got this for mounting a Fenix TK20 light to a KZ picatinny shotgun rail. The light was a little to small for the mount, not a big deal just used some wide electrical tape. The CAA light mount did fit the rail nice and tight but when sliding it into possion the locking bar fell into place and snapped the cotter pin off the end of the locking bar. What CAA needs to do is change the locking bar to alummium or steel and the would slove the problem.
Simple, Utilitarian(09.12.2014)
The thing holds a light just fine. Kept it on my weapon with a SureFire (the light escapes me) through my 5 year career in the army and my 2 deployments to Baghdad. Coupled with a vertical grip, i just used my thumb to depress the button on the rear of the light whenever it was called for.
