1911 magazines(23.06.2009)
These work great, no issues. Excellent mags
Range use ONLY!!(02.02.2010)
I own several of these mags. When they are NEW they work fine but after only a few dozen times of loading & unloading, the distance in the feed ramp begins to close and then they start to fail. Mine began to tilt, which caused the weapon to fail. I tried spacing the mags back out but this didn't work for long. Now they are nothing more than range mags used to produce malfunctions to practice clearing procedures. For no reason would I use them for carry purposes, even new.
Not Worth It(09.08.2010)
Hello,
I bought two of these, and have seen several more.
One of the ones I bought had a warped body and would not fall free. The other worked as advertised - for a while.
Feeding and slide lock became issues after a few hundred rounds apiece. I traced this to the followers; replacing them with standard dimpled followers from seven round military magazines made them work, and work well.
Bottom line: The bodies are good about half the time. They will not be so warped as to prevent feeding, though they may not fall free. The followers and springs should be replaced with quality seven round aftermarket parts.
I'm amazed....(03.06.2011)
...that these magazines have ANY poor reviews.
I've used many Shooting Star mags over the years and they are the best value there is out there.
There are more expensive mags. There are fancier mags. I haven't had one not work yet...and without "tuning." If your gun is set up right, these mags run.
Great Mags(19.12.2012)
These mags are terrific! I have used them over about the last 12 years and they are the only mags I use in my Colt and S.A. 1911's. I have had the blued steel and stainless and both types have worked great. They cycle fine, fit great and drop free on their own, even the older ones.
second purchase(25.12.2012)
I bought CMC magazines in the past, and have had no issues. When I needed more magazines for work, I did not hesitate to buy CMC magazines again.
Works perfect with a PM7(03.04.2018)
To be honest this mag looks identical to the standard Dan Wesson mags that comes with my PM7. The end plate is definitely different but the rest of the magazine frame, the follower and the spring are almost identical.
Worked pretty flawlessly with my pm7 too. Iâm happy.
My only complains are the follower is metal and the end plate looks awkward when it was seated in my pistol
