Eliminates frame damage caused by slide/frame battering during the recoil cycle. A single, extra-defense, polyurethane buffer fits between the guide rod head and the recoil spring; completely prevents the slide from contacting the frame. Precisely molded so they won't drag on the frame and cause malfunctions. For best results, change every 1,000 rounds.
SPECS: Polyurethane. Fits 1911 Auto only.

Shock buffs(16.09.2012)
I purhaced these buffs for my Rockisland 1911 A1 Tactical 45acp. I have used these shok buffs and found they only last upto 200 rounds max then they are pretty shot after using max loads. I am going to try the Wilson Combat buffs as they are polyfiber not just polyuethane and see if they last longer. Good luck on using these as they may be ok with light loads and a 18+ lb. recoil spring, mine is stock but I am going to change my spring. They do seem to help with recoil shock thats felt.
THEY WORK GREAT!(27.09.2012)
I'VE BEEN USING THESE FOR A COUPLE YEARS NOW. I'D SAY THEY LAST ABOUT 600-800 RDS. I'VE USED SOME BLUE BUFFERS ALSO & COULDN'T TELL A DIFFERENCE IN PERFORMANCE OR LONGEVITY. THESE COST A LITTLE LESS SO I KEEP USING THEM. CHEAP INSURANCE AGAINST A CRACKED FRAME.
Good info(16.03.2013)
I used these on a pt1911 9mm with a 10lb recoil spring and the gun would not cycle completely. Not sure if the thickness of the pad had somethinhg to do with it or not, but I removed it first and the gun ran flawlessly from then on. Im just writing this for the next guy to save some money if they run a set up like mine. The product looked great and this brand is a great brand thus the 5 stars. Ill just give them to a friend with a 45.
ed brown slide buffers 1911(05.09.2014)
use on my kimber team match II 45 and sig goverment size ss 45 acp. work great and like a little better than the wilson. softer material which helps from battering the frame. only draw back with any buffer is you cannot release the slide into battery by pulling it back. I have no problem with last shot slide lock working even with a 181/2 pound spring.
