Challis hex drive bushings are a breakthrough design, perfect for a custom build, replacing damaged bushings or changing between standard and slim grips. Uses a 7/32” nut driver which allows you to feel thread engagement and avoid damaging cross threading, and the robust hex head will handle the torque needed for proper seating, without concern for distorting the bushing or slipping and scratching your gun. Using the same driver, they are easily removed with no risk to frame or bushing. Unlike the old style, Challis bushings can be reused multiple times. Hex drive bushings can be fit with an optional O-ring which keeps grips snugly in place and minimizes shock to the grips and bushings during discharge. Use of O-rings will reduce scuffing of the frame by G10 and other abrasive grips, protect fragile and expensive grips such as ivory and mammoth tooth, and minimize loosening of bushings caused by heavy grip materials such as G10, carbon fiber and aluminum. Using Challis grip screw O-rings with hex head bushings will provide additional shock absorbing protection for gun, grips and bushings.

Le boccole a esagono di Challis rappresentano un design innovativo, perfette per una costruzione personalizzata, per sostituire boccole danneggiate o per passare da impugnature standard a quelle slim. Utilizzano un cacciavite da 7/32” che consente di percepire l'ingaggio della filettatura ed evitare danni da filettatura incrociata, e la robusta testa esagonale gestirà la coppia necessaria per un corretto posizionamento, senza preoccuparsi di deformare la boccola o di scivolare e graffiare la tua arma. Utilizzando lo stesso cacciavite, possono essere facilmente rimosse senza rischi per il telaio o la boccola. A differenza dello stile precedente, le boccole Challis possono essere riutilizzate più volte. Le boccole a esagono possono essere dotate di un O-ring opzionale che mantiene le impugnature saldamente in posizione e riduce al minimo gli urti sulle impugnature e sulle boccole durante lo sparo. L'uso degli O-ring ridurrà il graffiamento del telaio da parte di G10 e altre impugnature abrasive, proteggerà impugnature fragili e costose come avorio e dente di mammut, e minimizzerà il allentamento delle boccole causato da materiali pesanti per impugnature come G10, fibra di carbonio e alluminio. Utilizzando gli O-ring per le viti delle impugnature Challis con le boccole a testa esagonale si otterrà una protezione aggiuntiva contro gli urti per l'arma, le impugnature e le boccole.
