Can't recommend, mine cracked(07.06.2018)
I have put together multiple AR rifles and never had an issue with a crush washer. This one though cracked in two places, it still had plenty of "crush" left but broke before I could get the flash hider properly timed. Perhaps it was from a bad batch but I personally won't being buying a Brownell's one again.
It's a standard type mil spec crush washer for AR15/M16 type rifles. Installs easily and looks good. What else can you ask for?
Should have listened to the reviews...(13.09.2018)
Itâs a simple crush washer - ONLY if you donât need to time the muzzle device. For example, would be great with an A1 flash hider to snug it down - it will never make it to 30ft/lbs. (had my torque wrench set to 20lbs just in case)
I read Dan H. From Nashville Review and thought he just over tightened it - but I should have listened to him. I installed an A2 flash hider (bottom is solid) and needed to tighten it about 120 degrees beyond hand tight. The washer broke well before that. Iâd estimate it made it less than 90 degrees before it cracked. Sadly not worth the effort to return it for a replacement that isnât going to work either...
Heard it pop at about 180 degrees into tightening. Applied some grease and even backed the flash hider off once at 90 degrees to let the pressure off it. Seems to be very brittle.
