Rugged, Reliable, Always Deployed; Globe-Shaped Ears Focus Sight Picture

Rail-mounted, fixed, same-plane front sight works with any AR-style flip-up rear sight as a back-up for a scope or red dot. Distinctive HK-style “globe”-shaped ears aid in fast target acquisition, while the serrated, angled ramp eliminates glare. Elevation adjustable in ½ MOA increments; positive-locking detent ensures settings change only when you want them to. Base with sturdy side clamp and steel crossbolt attaches to any Picatinny railed forend or gas block that is the same height as the receiver rail. Installs with a standard flathead screwdriver—no protruding knobs or levers to catch on brush, clothing, or other equipment.

Cette hausse avant fixe montée sur rail, au même plan, fonctionne avec n'importe quelle hausse arrière à bascule de style AR comme solution de secours pour une lunette ou un point rouge. Les oreilles en forme de "globe" de style HK aident à une acquisition rapide de la cible, tandis que la rampe angulée et dentelée élimine l'éblouissement. Réglage de l'élévation par incréments de ½ MOA ; le détrompeur à verrouillage positif garantit que les réglages ne changent que lorsque vous le souhaitez. Absolutely great! I have this mounted on my Daniel Defense Lite railed 9mm AR, works great and very sturdy and great target acquisition. The HK style adds some class as well. Highly recommend it.

Solid, no large side screws (28.11.2013)

I am very pleased with the product. Of all fixed front sights that go on rail that I searched for, this was the only one I found with low profile screws on the sides (in fact, it's not just low profile, in this case it's recessed). There are other fixed front sights out there to attach on rail, most cheaper than this one, but in general those have a large screw on the side. I definitely did not want that.
I just wanted to point out a couple of things to buyers:
1. Even before you tighten the screw, the sight goes in tight on the picatinny rail. I applied some oil on the rail, on both sides, to keep the sight from scratching it on the way to its resting place. It did not scratch fortunately, in my case at least.
2. I installed this sight on an ADCOR. The ADCORs have an obstruction at the front-end of the rail, so this sight had to come to its resting place from the back of the rail. In the case of my ADCOR that meant sliding the sight in from the bolt release latch because the ADCORs have a continuous rail. It worked fine, but again, apply oil on both sides of the rail, all the way, to decrease the chances of scratching it.
Remember, once you put the screw in but before you tighten it, to push the sight forward such that the screw touches the picatinny rail.

Excellent sight (21.03.2014)

When installing sights do not take the cheap route as it may be the last thing you look at. The Troy fixed front and rear set are quality made, adjust with precision and are very easy to get sight acquisition. I prefer the fixed variety over pop up's with red dot sights or just the iron sights alone, the Troy has stood up to abuse on one of my rifles better than anything tried before. I give the Troy a five star rating.

Troy Fixed Battle Sight (01.06.2014)

Just placed it on a same plane build. The sight itself fit perfectly. Also, the sight acquisition was quick. If I ever do another same plane build, I will purchase this Troy sight. Bye the way, I also purchased the Troy Fixed Rear Battle Sight to go along. I love it. The later will be purchased for future build.

Have bought and used multiples of this sight with and without the tritium post. Mounts super easy, doesn't have a big o' screw or nut to snag stuff. Beautiful lines, the hood centers in apertures with ease. some sights look like they can tear off of a rail not this one, it has full clamping lips on both sides. Need a sight that is always ready with no exception look no further.
