I installed these springs on a new BHP MK3 which originally measured 9.25 lbs at the trigger. After installation the trigger measured 9.25 lbs. The hammer spring was 4 coils longer than the stock or another manutacturer's replacement springs. This means you either have to cut the coils or pre-load the spring extensively to install it on the strut. So unless your hammer / sear interface angle is positive or neutral with really rough surfaces these parts will do little to help the trigger pull. Modifications to the sear spring pressure will however produce changes in the trigger pull weight.

I just installed the 3 springs in my 1973 BHP the job it self require some smithing ability , some roll pin in the trigger group are hard to punch out. The Hammer spring is also tricky to replace. The easiest part is the firing pin spring. My High power lost is rock hard trigger and now has a much more manageable trigger pull. while I was there I also removed the Mag release safety spring. which also help the trigger pull. Good luck

great spring set, works really well to improve trigger pull and still reliable.
BUT the hammer spring is a bit of a pain to replace (no fault of this set, just be aware) so allow some time or get some advice.
Decent kit, but there were some problems(08.04.2013)
Decided to replace the springs with lighter ones along with a trigger job on the old Hi-power. Installation was a breeze, and everything was good until I reassembled the gun and it would not function correctly. The hammer was binding. Took it all apart and found the replacement spring for the hammer was about 1/4" longer than the original and was fully compressed and binding before the hammer was fully cocked. Ended up having to cut the spring down to get it to the correct length. After that everything functions fine. The kit I ordered was part no. 206-025-001 for the pre-91 Hi-power, as my Hi-power is a 1973. Maybe I got the spring from a later Hi-power by mistake? Not too sure.
