Excellent Targets(27.03.2010)
High quality paper staples easily onto a plywood or foamboard backing. Great visibility through optics at mid- to long range, and easy to focus on at short range for drills with a handgun. The contrast of a light target center with iron sights or dark crosshairs is a particularly welcome feature.
Not really a current IDPA target(19.09.2010)
While these simulate the IDPA target, the real ones currently used in IDPA in 2010 are heavy cardboard and do not have the clear rings for -0,-1 and -3 on them. The targets offered here are of good quality, but when you get to a real IDPA event, the target rings are much harder to see as they are defined by small punch marks in the cardboard, not the printed rings on these targets. These targets are copyright 1998 and are no longer the official IDPA targets.
Great For Low-Cost Practice(12.04.2011)
Another reviewer points out that "real" IDPA targets no longer feature such visible scoring rings. This is true. These targets, by contrast, have very visible scoring areas. However, I consider that this is appropriate for practice, because the IDPA "zero down" ring is higher than the visual "center of mass," and you'll shoot low unless you're tuned to where it really lies. These targets give you that training. Only downside: The ink in the black areas will come off on your fingers.
Great practice targets, but not Official(06.12.2013)
These are great practice targets. Like others have commented. Two things to be aware of:
1. Black ink rubs off easily on hands (quite messy) 2. These targets are great practice targets, but official IDPA targets do NOT have the scoring areas plainly/visibly marked like these targets. Just something to be aware of.
IDPA Practice Target(01.11.2014)
These are perfect for IDPA shooters to use for practice. Easy to see and the layout/size matches the cardboard targets used in competitions. Regarding the black inkâ¦I must be lucky, mine is dry. If you rub hard, of course the ink will stain your finger. Personally, I shoot holes in it.
