Looks great (18.02.2011)

I just put these on 2 of my rifles, a Winchester 1885 high wall and a Uberti 1873 lever. They look great and the finish matches nicely . They were much too tight as they came, but by holding a trianglular file firmly and sliding the blank across the file, I was able to take a little off the inside of each dovetail groove until I could push the blank into the slot halfway, then I used a brass punch to tap it the rest of the way in. I'm very happy with the results. These apparently fit very well in most of the Marlins without fitting. (I previously tried one of the aluminum blanks, and it looked pretty bad.)

These are the gold standard of sight blanks. Easy to fit, great bluing that matches quality guns well. I always fill in the dovetail after mounting a scope or peep sight with one of these.

Way to tight (28.03.2018)

The finish is nice as others have said but the overall fit is way to tight. I could only get the blank half way in with a punch. I gave up and decided to punch it back out. Itâs so tight I canât punch it out of my new $800 rifle. So this stinks. I put her in the safe and will be attacking the issue this weekend.
