Our bench spotting scope stand employs two large clamping plates to lock the stand securely to the bench. A bench thickness of one fourth inch to 12 inches is easily accommodated. The scope mounting head moves smoothly up and down on the 18 inch stainless steel shaft for proper scope height adjustment. The head locks in place with a comfortable knob and contoured locking piece. The scope mounting head incorporates a double spring loaded adjusting mechanism which permits easy target acquisition. The scope mounting surface is designed to mount one fourth to 20 threaded scopes with a mating surface of 1 to three fourths by 2 to one fourth inch or less (almost all field and spotting scopes with threaded mounts). We usually mount the scope to the left side of the bench so all we have to do is move our head off the riflescope to view the results of our shooting. If you shoot off the bench using open sights or lower powered scopes, this is a piece of equipment that puts your spotting scope to great use.

Excellent Piece of Equipment!(25.06.2010)
A rock-solid mount for any size spotting scope. Unaffected by wind, out of the way so you have full use of the benchtop. Cannot be easier to move from rifle sights to ocular with virtually no body movement so you don't have to bend, twist or turn to reposition yourself for the next shot. The cost is reasonable for an outstanding shooting aid.
Everybody Asks Where I Bought This!(08.11.2010)
This is the best bench mount for your spotting scope around. Every time I am at the range, someone asks where I bought it. Even fits on the concrete poured bench rests. It allows me to adjust every which way to get a good easy look at my shots without having to kink my neck and put down my weapon. Solid heavy duty quality construction. Don't even sweat the price. You get what you pay for. Professionally built to last a lifetime and more.
Excellent Scope Stand(17.02.2011)
Excellent and versatile stand. I use it for both a scope stand at the benchrest range and for mounting / positioning a brass catcher at the pistol ranges.
perfect product(28.06.2011)
usefull for shooting range
Very Good, Very Satisfying Buy(28.05.2013)
Very good idea. Very simple but works great. No instructions needed. Strong, solid, very easily adjustible. Best of all...no fear of knocking it over or your scope falling or being damaged.
Super spotting scope mount(23.01.2014)
I use this mount on my range sighting rifles. I also use this mount to view deer in and out of a blind to score & age them for hunters that are being guided on a hunt. This mount is so versatile and secure so it won't fall down in a wind and damage your spotting scope. I can't find any faults with it and none better to be found this good.
Great by any other name, Sinclair!(27.03.2014)
I purchased this bench mount scope stand for ease of transporting it to my brothers farm for shooting on a portable bench. Craftsmanship is built into this Sinclair product as all of the items I purchased from them. As always, I am extremely pleased. This mount is sturdy, strong and stays where you set it. If you are looking for a fair priced bench mount scope stand, this is it.
Love it!(04.10.2014)
When I first bought mine, I winced at the cost, but I'm a believer in the "cry once" philosophy. It has never been more true than with this purchase.
I got so tired of re-aligning my short bench-top tripod with every shot. Sometimes I used a high-power scope stand placed next to the bench. That had issues too. So, I tried this device. It's great! Very stable and rugged.
It also works great for standing positions provided you have a post or something similar to mount it to. I use the roof support posts on our firing line. Place it at eye level from a standing position and there you go! Only issue is you'd best watch where you're walking. It is stout and won't give a bit when you run into it. Ask me how I know . . . I do learn fast though.
I heartily recommend this item.
Excellent spotting scope stand(16.11.2014)
Hesitated to spend this much for a spotting scope stand, but it has been worth it. The stand is solid and holds your scope as steady as a rock. And it is very adjustable. One improvement would be to use a thumbscrew instead of a hex head bolt for attaching your scope onto it. All in all, this is an excellent product and I highly recommend it.
Heavy Duty(08.05.2015)
I give it five stars with two suggestions.
1. The bottom plate T-handle needs a rotating washer on it where it contacts the bench that you are tightening it to.
My bench today was fabric coated with wood underneath. The T-Handle bolt went right through the fabric and into the wood.
With a wider washer on it, it would have stopped at the fabric and tightened up. If you have solution/suggestion for me please let me know. Otherwise I will carry with me a piece of sheetmetal or steal for the T-hanble bolt to tighten up on.
2. The scope head assembly would be better if the hex bolt that attaches to the spotting scope was a knob. One less tool to bring and easier to attach.
Nice Stand but could use improvement(02.06.2015)
Well put together. I almost returned it since you had to use tools to add your scope. I fixed what I did not like by adding a quick release plate. Use at the range to hold spotting scope for targets.
Very happy with Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate B&H # MA323 MFR # 323
This works great and no tools to remove your scope. An extra $32 but it was worth it to me. They should add a thumb screw to the foot screw for this price but still nice stuff from Sinclair as usual.
The plate does clear the foot on the Sinclair so the adjustment knob works as intended.
Need a polecat creedmoor stand if your are competitive shooter.
Bench mount Scope Stand(07.10.2015)
This stand is the best thing Ive purchase for my shooting sport sense 1960, that was a left handed rifle. Stand is very steady, easy to adjust and Rugged. Improvenments add a thumb screw, and a rotating washer to the clamp at the bottom . *** A+ Top Quality. Thanks ferrett
One problem(02.06.2016)
At the public range that I shoot at the benches are almost 12 inches in thick. In the product description it states that the stand will work with a bench 12 inches thick! Not with a straight eyepiece. You will only have 6 inches of the stand above the surface of the bench. The length of the stand needs to be around 24 inches in height in my opinion. Other wise a very nice piece of equipment. I went to a metal supply company and purchased a piece of aluminum tubing 24 inches long to solve this problem.
Great, bulletproof product. A Sinclair! (13.02.2017)
Very sturdy and practical product. Carries easily, safely w/o movement my 4.6 lbs spotting scope. If I would change anything, I would add a quick release plate system to the vertical scope plate instead of the present screw mount. Of course I followed the lead of ELYLV's recommendation (see reviews) and ordered the Manfrotto 323 RC2 System from B & H also. Hopefully that will make it easier to attach the scope at the range etc.
Nice rig!(23.08.2017)
For years I have struggled with tripods just not doing the job at the range (nice concrete bench table). This will add convenience and stability. Met a fellow club member who was at the range a few years ago and he had this model and I fell in love with it. He told me where to get it and when my "toy" budget allowed I purchased it last week while on sale. Easy assembly. I did purchase the 323 Quick Change Rect Plate Adapter from B&H Photo (Mfg Manfrotto) as recommended by another reviewer. Easy to add. I am excited to go to the range this weekend. Now I need to save and buy a better spotting scope. Thanks.
Solid Mount Limited range of adjustments(17.04.2018)
Solid construction. . The top plate allows you to swivel in the horizontal plane 360 degrees and the pole allows vertical adjustment. There is no way to rotate your attached scope from its mounted position so that your eyepiece is somewhere in between vertical up or 90 degrees to the side. Overall very study and works as advertised. As others have pointed out I would recommend the following to improve this product..1. Get rid of any tools needed and just include thumb screws. 2. Have swivel mount with a quick release at top.
