Hard-Scrubbing Bronze Bristles; Brass Shank & Coupling Won't Scratch Bores

If you or your customer has one of those guns that drives tacks or knocks down birds every time, the slight extra cost of our Special Line brushes is well worth it to eliminate any chance of the cleaning brush’s shank putting a scratch in that all-important barrel. The Brass shank is one-piece, looped and wound, (not two, twisted together and chopped off). The coupling is no-scratch Brass. The bristles are the best, phosphor, bronze scrubbing wire for long life and thorough cleaning. SPECS: Bristles: Phosphor bronze. Overall Length: 2-7/8' (7.3cm) Threads: 5/16-27 male

Assolutamente raccomandato

excellent cleaning brush 29.08.2017

The "Special Line Brushes", in my experience, last longer than the regualr brushes. I use this cleaning brush exclusively in the Browning 1911 45ACP. Over 90% of my shooting is with lead bullets, and depending on the load, slight leading of the bore can be an issue. I wrap strands of Brownells #3 Course Bronze Wool around the cleaning brush (Item# 439-200-300AT). This combination of brush and bronze wool cleans lead out of the bore MUCH faster than any other method that I have tried. The bronze wool is much softer than the barrel steel and will not harm the rifling.

Excellent cleaning brush 29.08.2017

I have used these brushes for decades in the 38 Special and 357 magnum revolvers. Depending on the ammunition and firearm, lead bullets can leave mild to heavy deposits of lead in a 38 caliber barrel. I wrap strands of Brownells #3 Course Bronze Wool, Item# 439-200-300AT, around one of these cleaning brushes to clean lead out of the bore. It works faster at removing lead than any other method I have tried. The Bronze Wool is much softer than the barrel steel, and will not harm the rifling.

CAUTION WARNING 17.12.2014

I am a gunsmith (taught by my father and great uncle) gun collector, competitive shooter, and hunter. These brushes Should be a great product, BUT, the twisted brass core pulled out of the crimped section of the threaded connector,, Now I have a "SPECIAL LINE"â¢ BRASS CORE BORE BRUSH (made by Dewey)(sold by Brownells) STUCK 2/3 the way up the barrel of my pristine 1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer 6.5X54,, I know some say only push a brush breech to muzzle but I have pushed and pulled cleaning brushes in barrels for over 50yrs. and never harmed a barrel or had one pull apart until these, I should have known better this is the second time this has happened,, the first time was with one of the special line Nylon brushes being used on my New Rem 700 30-06, I was able to remove it fairly easy pushing from the muzzle with a patched jag wrapped tight.,,,,,, Thought it was a fluke, NOT,,,, this one is tight and tends to go off center when pushed trying to bind into the rifling.
