Spring Kit(07.01.2010)
This kit is a good kit. I put the lightest trigger spring in and man what a difference. My 607 has a super easy smooth pull. (the factory pull was smooth, but noticably harder) I installed the 11 lb hammer spring and it had 3 of the 7 as hangfires, even a second hit didn't set it off. I added the 12 lb hammer now and will see where that gets me. Even if I have to go back to the factory hammer spring, it woudln't be the end of the world. The trigger pull is the key here. Not many people here do double action so the heavier spring probably isn't a big factor. I know they mention that CCI primers are much harder and require a heavier hit, so if you don't use them you might be O.K., but if you depend on the gun, be sure you use the heavier spring to cover various ammo. Not sure whom could even use the lighter hammer springs, but maybe. Anyway, it's cheap enough and installation is a snap, so don't not buy the kit even if you only plan to use the trigger one, it's worth [$]. It's confusing for the 607 357 model since it is the large frame gun, but it doesn't mention it in the kit description above. I almost ordered the wrong kit, thinking the 605 was similar, but that is a smaller frame.
GOOD BUT NOT THERE(28.12.2010)
THE SPRINGS ARE VERY WELL MADE BUT I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE 10 POUNDS TRIGGER SPRING, WHEN I INSTALED IT WAS HEAVIER THAN MY FACTORY SPRING.
Made a world of difference(15.04.2012)
I used Taurus 669 Shooters Pak in a 44 Mag Raging Bull. I am not a gunsmith, however, the items are easy to identify and easy to replace. It may pay to have a helper handy-wear eye protection just in case. I used the 10lb. trigger spring and the 11lb hammer spring. The Raging Bull had a nice single action pull to begin with. I was primarily concerned with the double action trigger pull. The kit absolutely did the job. Single action pull is even better. Double action pull is fantastic compared to the original spring. I rapid shot a target at 25 yds using double action. All hits were well within a 3" pattern. This using a Magnum load. Before changing the springs, the pull was so heavy, I was darn lucky to hit paper at 25 yds.I used CCI Magnum primers in a few of these rounds. I had no problem with misfires.
