Easy-to-use system aligns the action with the bottom metal for a professional bedding job without damaging the original screws. Polymer bushings, two on each stud, seal the threaded action screw holes and bottom metal inlets to keep out epoxy overflow and help prevent parts from getting permanently bonded in the stock.

Kit comes with two shouldered, threaded rods that are smooth below the shoulder about halfway down to eliminate stuck action screws and needing to ream bedding compound from bolt holes. Producing perfect, stress-free bedding jobs require nothing more than filling holes with modeling clay, spraying brownells release agent on the action and studs, and gently tightening the action into the stock with bedding compound while observing the barrel channel vs barrel. No cleaning of action screw threads, and the studs pop right out when the work is done courtesy of the threads on the bottom of the studs.

Makes pillar bedding a lot easier (27.08.2012)

I used these bedding studs on my Yugo Mauser with third party stock. They screw right into the front and rear no problem. Then slide the pillars on and apply epoxy. Put them down through the floorplate and slide on the white spacers. Screw them down and you have pillars lined up perfectly with your action. If your studs get stuck in the pillars because you didn't use enough release agent, you put the second nut against the first to create a lock and wrench the stud out...No wear and tear on your action screws. I wish they made them in more action thread sizes for different rifles.
