Giant, steel "pliers" has two machined "steps" that can tighten one or both rails with just a "squeeze" of your bench vise. Step one distributes pressure evenly to both rails at the same time. Step two straightens and adjusts one side at a time if the slide is bent or sprung. Stop bolt helps prevent over-tightening and damaged slides.
SPECS: Heat-treated steel, blued finish. Machined from 1-½" (3.81cm) square stock, approx. 7-½" (19cm) long. Ratio 2:1.

Ratio 2:1.

Works Well(28.03.2012)
- Allows you to control the exact amount of squeeze being applied to the slide and allows you to increase it in increments until you get it where you want it. - Very well made. - Clever design allows you to apply more pressure to one side of the slide if desired. - It can mark the slide so use a thin pad such as a rag if you're not planning to refinish the it. This is not mentioned in the directions but common sense would apply here. - Does what it's supposed to.
Slide rail clamp(02.11.2015)
You will need a very good stout vise, the longer and thicker the handle on the vise the better, you will need a way to measure the slide width. great tool but be careful you can over do it and crack a slide by the safety notch. go slow and use the adjustment screw.
Slide Rail Clamp from Power Custom(10.03.2016)
Another great Ron Powers product that I added to my collection. Have a Para USA 45 in the shop that had a reload that blew out the slide fortunately only on one side. Checked out a tool that might assist me in repairing the pistol (IF possible) and decided to order the tool. Came in from you folks and I put it right to work and work it did. After I was able to disassemble the pistol I was able to make adjustments to the slide that allowed me to be able to detail the slide and the frame and determine that the blown shell had not only cracked the slide through the inside; but all the way to the back of the slide also. I might not have been able to see the extent of the damages to the pistol without using this tool to disassemble the pistol without creating more damage from my efforts. Only thing missing were the instructions that had the middle of the form ripped out and I have still not heard back from Powers as of yet; though this ol' Cowboy Gunsmith was able to figure things out. Really a great addition to anyone's shop having to work on auto pistol slides for repair or customizing. Thanks Ron!
