Smooth as silk! (16.02.2012)

This small drop in upgrade really makes any Glock action feel smoother and rock solid. The stock guide rods are alright for making holes in paper, but if you want to put some serious ammo downrange or plan on using hotter ammo for self-defense then buy this upgrade. All Glock owners should upgrade their original plastic/polymer guide rods to stainless steel for stability of the weapon. Great product!

I PICK THIS PART UP FROM A LOCAL DEALER I THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE BUT AS SOON AS I BROUGHT IT HOME AND INSTALLED IT I NEW INSTANTLY WHY I PAID THIS MUCH IT FITS PERFECT AND FUNCTIONS FLAWLESS AND ADDS A LITTLE WEIGHT TO A GUN I MY OPINION WEIGHS TOO LITTLE A REAL NICE BALANCE NOW

I'm a retired police firearms instructor, and have been a firearms instructor trainer as well as police recruit firearms trainer. I have seen thousands of rounds fired through hundreds of Glocks and have never witnessed a factory guide rod break or malfunction. Still, knowing Murphy is alive and well, I have installed this product in my personal carry G19. Installation was simple and the product fit perfectly. Fit and finish of the item is very high quality. Buy yourself some peace of mind and get one for your carry gun.

This guide rod really shines. Matches my lone wolf chrome barrel for glock 21. Perfect fit with no play. Great replacement for that cheap plastic factory guide rod.

Installed this in my G17 and am very pleased. Adds a little weight up front and the pistol cycles smoothly.

really nice captured guide rod (06.06.2011)

This guide rod, unlike many others has a bushing that rests against the inside of the slide instead of the spring touching the slide directly. Is also uses factory style flat springs! I did take it apart and polish the rod for a few minutes to get rid of the light machine marks. It is a little smoother and quieter when that is done! I highly reccomend this guide rod. and it is a reasonable price too!

Significant Improvement for Glock Pistol (18.12.2009)

Recently got this part for my 23. It slightly increases the felt weight on the muzzle, and cycles like a dream. The gun shoots better now, than win it was new, out of the box. Helps to keep you on target, for quicker/more accurate follow-up shots. Every new Glock should come equipped with this type guide rod and spring. Can't wait to get one in my 19, and 22. Great product !! Kudos..

Feeding Issues (08.02.2014)

Installed this guide rod and spring kit, which was a breeze. Finally got to take her to the range, and was pretty let down. The first two magazines were fine, with a little hiccup in the second magazine. After that, I kept getting a "click"and no bang. Came to find that the spring wasn't pushing the slide all the way forward, and had to manually push it into battery with my thumb every other round fired. I expected to have to break her in, but after 100 rounds, the issue continued. I suspect the spring is just too weak to push the slide into battery. I cannot reccomend this product.

Would catch on shroud during recoil and not allow cycling
