Overall I'm satisfied with the results and fit of the "Front Sight Picatinny Rail by CROSSTAC"... but the results required extensive modifications. 25 minutes with a power tool to get it to begin to even slide onto my bayonet lug, 5 minutes with a power tool to get the pin opened up enough to insert the pin. But once I got all the areas that need modifications applied, the "Front Sight Picatinny Rail by CROSSTAC" slipped right on and is solid. Would I buy another... yea, probably so. The Bottom Line ask me if I would recommend this to a friend. Yes I would, but I'd point out that they should expect to make modifications to it, in order to get it mounted on their bayonet lug.
Just what I needed.(28.06.2018)
It attached correctly and easily. The pin hole had just enough resistance to make it nice and snug. The set screw sealed the deal.
I used it to mount an IR laser for nightvision use.
Really glad someone came up with a solution to add a rail on an AR with a standard hand guard and A2 front sight.
